Daily Activity ( English Version)
Hay today is the last day on the ala carte menu 1 & 2 so
here I will explain about the Pempek or Empek-empek food, Palembang specialties
made of fish and sago. The presentation of Pempek Palembang is accompanied by a
brownish black sauce called vinegar or cuko (Palembang language). Cuko is made
from boiled water, then added brown sugar, mashed chili, garlic, and salt. Cuko
is a friend who eats pempek loyal, made spicy to increase appetite.
There is also a sweet cuko for those who do not like spicy.
The famous type of palembang pempek is "pempek submarine" is a
chicken egg wrapped in a pempek dough and fried in hot oil. There are also
others such as pempek lenjer, rounded pempek (or known as "ada'an"),
pempek kulit ikan, pempek pistel (it contains sliced young boiled papaya),
small pempek te lur, and curly pempek. According to its history , Pempek
Palembang has been in Palembang since the entry of Chinese migrants to
Palembang,
namely around the 16th century, when Sultan Mahmud
Badaruddin II came to power in the Palembang-Darussalam sultanate. The name
empek-empek or pempek is believed to originate from the term "musty",
which is a term for older men of Chinese descent. So from my explanation, I
hope it will be useful, and until I meet my blogger again and we will meet
again in new and different stories, hopefully you all don't get bored watching
my blogger, hahaha, see you next time best friend blogger, wassalamualaikum
wr.wb.
